In Country Training Program

The In-Country Training Program has various forms of training, not only for the high school students but also for the non-native Indonesian teachers and the university students who plan to have a future career as Indonesian teachers or even work in any field dealing with Indonesia.

This program is designed based on 3 approaches:

  • Cultural approach
  • Urban and Rural way of living approach
  • Industrial approach

This program is also very flexible, easy to adjust with the group's needs and individual needs. It also has different kinds of extra activities such as batik painting, woodcarving, traditional dancing, Pencak Silat, Indonesian Cooking, etc.

All the courses in this program have been set forth in three significant points of course outline:

  1. How to learn Indonesian Language, as a general skill.
  2. How to motivate and to encourage the students to use the language.
  3. How to identify both human and material languages.

Therefore, to achieve as well as to meet the above targets, Semarang 2000 will provide each student an opportunity to explore the Indonesian language as a tool for intercultural discovery and understanding.
