Program

In-Country Indonesian Language Program at SEMARANG 2000 offers very flexible design relating to the purposes of learning and time schedule, but in general we classify the programs into 4 segments.

Indonesian Business Communication
Most students who join this program are expatriates or those who plan to work in Indonesia. The program is designed in 40 hours courses for each level. The program is emphasised in being able to converse in office environment, read and write a report in Indonesian language.

Indonesian Fun Holiday
It is a program, which offers a lot of fun. Students can choose more extra activities such as batik painting, traditional music, Indonesian cooking, Indonesian dancing, woodcarving or others while the language learning is only focussed on the survival and practical language. The program varies from one week until 2 weeks and emphasises more on art skills than the language itself.

Indonesian Special Culture Exploration
This program has 8 components of activities, which are classroom exercises, role-play, outdoor activities, class presentation, host family involvement, counterpart involvement, extra activities and excursions. The students will have a full day activity from the beginning until the end of the program. The program makes the students interact directly to explore the culture, the environment and its surroundings.

In-Country Teacher Training Program
In this program the Indonesian teachers not only learn practical language used in a classroom but also have an opportunity to practice their ability in teaching by using Indonesian language in a bilingual class environment for children from 2 years old up to kindergarten. Besides the practical language the Indonesian teachers will also learn how to set up classroom activities.
